Another effect of the economic downturn

An interesting side effect of this economic downturn is that there is a decrease in website uptime being noticed. A group called Mon.itor.us did an analysis of 70,000 sites that they monitor. There is a decrease in uptime from 99.3% in January to 99.1% in April. Some of the reasons may be a result of decreases in IT support staff maintaining the servers and the sites.
